I love using bright colors because I want my paintings to bring joy to people's faces and happiness to their homes. But the reason I paint a lot of women is because although I was a very artistic person all my life, I really started painting like I do now after I got into modeling and after some time I realized I want to be on the other side of the camera in a way but through my paintings.I started painting a lot of my self portraits from my pictures. This painting is a portrait of my friend who I have been talking to on Instagram for many many years, although I never met her in person yet we have really connected and I wanted to do a painting of her because she is such an inspiration to me. She spends every day going from hospital to hospital because she has many medical issues, when she was young she had to get her spine fixed with metal rods because she had severe scoliosis. The rods ended up popping and almost killing her, she had a harsh journey, years in the hospital and many other health issues apart from that but she remains strong and hopeful that one day she will find a doctor who will know what exactly is going on with her and be able to help her. This painting is as vibrant as her personality.
